First State Community Impact Report
Since 1993, First State Community Loan Fund has been working in the state of Delaware to provide opportunities for access to capital for small business and microenterprise development, affordable housing initiatives, and to support nonprofit organizations in their efforts to serve low wealth and underserved communities and people. Since 1993 we have awarded more than $21 million in loan capital to support these projects.
Our longstanding commitment to the region has resulted in the creation and retention of more than 1100 jobs, affordable housing for more than 224 families, nearly one thousand daycare slots and charter school seats for 474 students. The following charts outline both our lending activity and impact in the communities we serve.
Breaking down barriers, building up communities!
